I hope your weekend is starting out well.  I am enjoying my morning cup of coffee while sharing my weekly mail creation.  The theme for Week 13 is sympathy.  I am certain most of you have experienced the loss of a loved one.  While sending this type of mail is not as a happy and fun as mailing congratulatory wishes, flip flops or a piece of chocolate cake.  I believe it's a meaningful gesture.  In the past, I've usually avoided creating sympathy cards and would always purchase them.  I find it challenging to find the right words and design for a sympathy card, but I wanted to push-the-envelope and give it my best try.  Here's what I came up with:

I kept it simple by printing the words "Sending love and sympathy" on the front and used a tulip stamp with black ink on the right side.   After letting the ink dry, I added touches of green and purple water color paint to the tulips.  For the envelope liner I simply painted a full sheet of paper (water color paper works best) with shades of purple and pink.  Once the paper was dry, I cut out the liner using my A2 envelope template and secured to the inside of the envelope.  Finally, I left the inside blank and wrote hand written messages.  Not sure what to write?  You could include a quote, poem and find ideas on Pinterest to help find the right words.

Annie was feeling left out while I was snapping photos for my post.  She wants to say hello and send puppy kisses to those who have recently lost a loved one, or just missing a loved one who left us a while ago.  Toodles!
