1% Better Each Day
Does this sound familiar?
✔️You set a new goal
✔️You start on Monday with SO MUCH EXCITEMENT
✔️You stick to new goal for a week or two
✔️You quit goal without making it past the first month because [insert excuses here]
Ugh!🗯 ▪️Why do we do this?! ▪️
We quit on ourselves and our goals because we don’t see a change fast enough. When you don’t see or feel the outcome you’re so anxiously awaiting, you make a choice to quit because it’s not working or easier to go back to old ways.
When we understand WHY we quit, it can help keep-us-going on the days we feel like quitting.💡
✨Here are my best tips for starting and sticking to a new goal:✨
1. Audit your habits - what habits do you need to change to achieve your goal? What habits are you automatically doing every day that are hindering your progress?
2. Aim to improve 1% each day, instead of going from 0-100 mph in a single day or week.
4. Write your goal on paper and create a step by step system to achieve your new habit to help you get closer to your goal (what would it really look like in order for you to accomplish ______?)
6. Keep it simple - don’t overcomplicate the steps or you won’t even want to start.
8. When you aren’t feeling momentum with your habit, refocus on your system. Do you need to adjust the system so you can start to enjoy it more?
There is so much power in 1️⃣%!
Those small and tiny actions will compound with time creating a tidal wave of change. 🌊
Our daily habits directly impact our quality of life.
What bad habits do you want to change and what good habits do you want to implement?
